To switch from SiteLink, ask for a full export of units, tenants, leases, balances and payment history, send it to Stitch Storage, and we load it for free in 48 hours. You keep renting from your old system until you approve the move.

SiteLink is a product many owners use, and this guide is for owners who have already decided to move. All SiteLink facts are as of October 2026 and come from the sources listed on this page.

Before you start

  • Read your agreement. Storable's SiteLink page says billing is monthly with a monthly commitment only. Confirm your own agreement, notice period and any add-on terms.
  • Do not cancel yet. You need the old system for the export and until you approve the new one.
  • Pick a quiet week, not the first of the month when rent is due.
  • Note what depends on SiteLink. Check these before cutover: gate integration and gate codes, text message history and templates, eSign documents and signed leases, any marketplace integrations you use (for example accounting or marketing).

Storable describes a migration team for data coming in, not going out, and we found no published outbound export guide for SiteLink as of October 2026. So the safest request is a written one:

Please send a full export of my units, tenants, leases, balances and payment history.

Ask for CSV or Excel files. Ask for:

DataWhat to include
UnitsUnit number, size, type, rate, status (occupied, vacant, reserved)
TenantsName, phone, email, mailing address
LeasesMove-in date, rent, paid-through date, unit
BalancesAmount owed or prepaid for each tenant
Payment historyDates and amounts
DocumentsSigned leases, if available as files

If SiteLink lets you run reports and download them yourself, a rent roll, a tenant list and an aged balances report cover most of the list. If anything is missing, ask support again before you move on.

Step 2: Start a free trial

Sign up for the 30-day trial with no card. This gives you a workspace to import into.

Step 3: Upload and review

Stitch has an import preset for SiteLink, so the columns map for you.

  1. Upload the files.
  2. Read the validation report. It flags duplicates, missing fields and balances that do not add up.
  3. Fix issues in the file, or tell us and we fix them.
  4. Run a dry run. Nothing live changes.
  5. Approve. We complete the migration for free.
  6. If something is wrong, roll back.

Day 1 to 3Export arrives (depends on SiteLink support)
Hour 0You upload the complete export

Week 1Tenants re-enter payment methods

Say you have 120 units, 108 occupied, at $95. Rent is 108 x $95 = $10,260 a month. After the dry run, check that the rent roll in Stitch also shows $10,260 before you approve.

What tenants must do

Card numbers are held by your old payment processor, and processors generally do not hand them to a new vendor. Tenants re-enter a payment method on a secure Stripe form. Bank (ACH) payments need a new mandate, and Stripe says they can take up to 4 business days to confirm.

  1. Send a short note a week before cutover: "We are moving to a new payment system. You will get a link to add your card or bank account."
  2. Send the link on cutover day.
  3. Remind tenants before their due date.
  4. Hold off on late fees for those tenants until their new method is on file.

Cutover-day checklist

  • Rent roll total in Stitch matches SiteLink
  • Tenant count matches
  • Opening balances spot-checked on five tenants
  • Stripe account connected
  • Gate codes tested
  • Tenant notice sent
  • Checked: gate integration and gate codes
  • Checked: text message history and templates
  • Checked: eSign documents and signed leases
  • SiteLink kept running until the first payments clear

If something does not match

Small mismatches are normal in a first export. A missing phone number, a unit listed twice or a balance that is off by a few dollars will show up in the validation report. Fix them in the file or tell us, and run the dry run again. Because you keep renting from SiteLink until you approve, there is no deadline pressure. If the totals still do not agree with your rent roll, do not approve yet. Ask for a corrected export first.

Frequently asked questions

How do I export my data from SiteLink?

Storable describes a migration team for data coming in, not going out, and we found no published outbound export guide for SiteLink as of October 2026. Ask for a full export of units, tenants, leases, balances and payment history, in CSV or Excel if possible.

How long does the switch take?

Migration takes 48 hours from a complete export, at no charge. Most of your own time goes into getting the export and telling tenants.

Do I have to cancel SiteLink first?

No. Keep it running until you approve the move. Check your agreement before you cancel.

What happens to my tenants' autopay?

Stored card numbers generally cannot move between payment processors, so tenants re-enter a payment method. ACH needs a new mandate and can take up to 4 business days to confirm.

Can I undo the import?

Yes. There is a validation report, a dry run and a rollback.
